THN is open to various kinds of entrepreneurs support organization including Innovation hubs, incubators, accelerators, maker spaces, living labs, fabrication labs, and venture studios seeking to improve their operations, collaborate with other hubs, enhance fundraising efforts, and increase team capacity.
THN defines its members in four major categories:
Private Hubs
Independent, privately-owned hubs, including both for-profit and not-for-profit, dedicated to supporting innovators and entrepreneurs.
State OWned hubs
Government-established hubs focusing on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
University Based Hubs
Hubs affiliated with academic institutions, supporting student and faculty-led startups.
Corporate Hubs
Hubs backed or operated by corporations to support innovation within their industries and ecosystems.
Eligibility Criteria
THN welcomes active physical or virtual hubs registered in Tanzania that support innovators and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and sectors, contributing positively to their communities.
Members must also adhere to the values and principles of the Network. The following factors constitute the guiding definition of a hub:
- Have a physical space or virtual community for innovators and entrepreneurs.
- Registered in Tanzania as a legal entity.
- Conduct at least one capacity-building or resource mobilization program annually.
- Participate in at least one innovation ecosystem activity per year.
